Job Opening: Part-Time Deputy Town Clerk
Location: Town of Roland
Hours: Part-Time (Approximately 20–30 hours/week)
Application Deadline: 06/25/25
Pay Rate: Based on experience

The Town of Roland is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and professional individual to serve as Part-Time Deputy Town Clerk. This position supports the daily operations of the Town Clerk/Treasurer’s office and plays a key role in ensuring accurate recordkeeping, customer service, and administrative support.

Primary Duties Include:

Assisting with public inquiries via phone, email, and in-person

Processing utility payments and issuing receipts

Maintaining and filing official town records and documents

Assisting with agendas, minutes, and meeting preparations

Supporting municipal billing, licensing, and permitting

Performing general office duties including data entry, scanning, and filing

Assisting with payroll processing

Assisting the Town Clerk with special projects as needed

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or GED

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior municipal, clerical, or customer service experience

Familiarity with office equipment and financial transactions

Knowledge of Tyler Incode software is highly desirable
