The Code Enforcement Department is responsible for administering and enforcing all codes and ordinances adopted by the Town of Roland. This includes inspections of building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical work, as well as plan review pertaining to new construction. The Code Enforcement Department is also responsible for enforcing property maintenance codes including nuisance and zoning requirements, as well as the issuance all building permits and business licenses.

The Roland Fire Department is made up of volunteers from our community that are devoted to serving and protecting our citizens, property, businesses and town. The Roland Fire Department is committed to ensuring our volunteer firefighters are highly trained and effective in their duties through proper certification, training, and ongoing education. The Department is currently seeking prospective volunteers to add to the team, and more information may be requested from the current officers.

The Roland Municipal Court has jurisdiction over all traffic and misdemeanor offenses committed in violation of current city ordinances. All felonies and misdemeanors committed in the Town of Roland but outside the parameters of the Town of Roland are prosecuted in Sequoyah County District Courts.

The Roland City Park is located directly behind the police station on Creek Street. It has a 1/3 mile paved walking trail, playground equipment, and picnic pavilions with bbq grills. It also contains the Roland Veterans Memorial which contains the names of the Roland veterans who have served our country.

Shop with a Cop Event!

The Town of Roland is excited to announce our annual Shop with a Cop/Firefighter event for children 12 years old and younger! This special event will take place on Saturday, December 14th at the Roland Dollar General, starting at 7:00 AM and wrapping up at 8:45 AM. After the shopping fun, stick around for our Noon Christmas Parade!

Families, don’t miss out! Applications for Christmas gift assistance must be submitted by November 30th, 2024. This is a great opportunity for eligible households to ensure a joyful holiday season for the little ones.

Utilities: We operate a water treatment facility and a wastewater treatment facility, ensuring a reliable supply of clean water for our residents while effectively managing wastewater treatment.
